根據香港大學民意研究計劃的《脫髮與及早治療意見調查》顯示，25%嘅男性有脫髮問題，多數屬於「男性型脫髮」，與遺傳同「二氫睪酮」(DHT) 密切相關。DHT會令毛囊萎縮，導致頭髮變薄甚至停止生長，尤其前額同頭頂最敏感。
DHT如何導致脫髮?

 DHT 由睾酮轉化而來，會攻擊毛囊，令其逐漸變少。
若家族有脫髮歷史可能對 DHT 更敏感，增加脫髮風險。

保康絲(Propecia)有何功效?

保康絲嘅主要成分是非那雄胺，一種 5-a還原酶抑制劑，通過阻斷睾酮轉化為DHT，减少毛囊損害。
· 減少 DHT 水平:
   每日 1mg 非那雄胺可降低約 70% 血清 DHT，減緩脫髮進程。
· 促進頭髮生長:
   5 年臨床研究顯示，65%服用者頭髮再生。
· 防止進一步脫髮:
   2 年内 90% 使用者脫髮停止。

保康絲Propecia的歷史
 ·製造者: 美國默沙東 (MSD)，成立於 1891 年，總部位於新澤西。
·起源: 1992 年推出 Proscar(非那雄胺)治療前列腺肥大，後期發現對生髮有效，遂開發 Propecia，並獲 FDA 批准。

使用建議:
·用法: 每日1mg，固定時間服用，可隨餐或空腹。
·療程: 需連續使用至少 3個月，停藥後效果或消失。
·複診: 定期檢查療效同副作用。

副作用罕見(約 0.3%)，停藥後多數消失:
·性功能障礙: 如性慾降低、勃起困難，影響少數人，日常生活通常不受影響。

性別: 限男性，不適用於女性。
年齡: 18 歲以上。
健康狀況: 使用前告知醫生病史、藥物過敏或正在服用藥物。
注意:孕婦避免接觸破損藥片，以免影響胎兒。
